My name is Heather St. Marie; I’m also known as Sainte-Heather. I like surprises, and I love to sleep… I’m proud of being Cajun and growing up “Down the Bayou.” If you ever make it to South Louisiana – skip the beignets and get yourself a Hubig’s Pie (any flavor will do). We Cajuns know how to have a good time, and most people I know from “Down the Bayou” are musicians like me.
I am the voice of Hydrovibe, The Somber, and The Black Dramatic. Be sure to check out the music from my various projects, and if you catch me on tour – be sure to come say ”Hello!”
Cooking has always been the center of Cajun culture. We show our love for others through food – by preparing it and by eating it. For the past 2 years, I’ve been on a low-sugar and wheat free diet. This forced me to really pay attention to my diet, and it ultimately led to me filming a Gluten Free Cooking Show (more on this when the site and show launches). I’ll be writing about some of my favorite recipes here, so keep checking the blog.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, and here in Heather’s Kingdom you’ll find various items for sale – drawings, textile art, jewelry, paintings, songs, etc. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them!
